Ginacue - G16a1

Ginacue (G16a1) - new 2004 cue by Ernie Gutierrez. Custom version of the model 16a, the only one he has made in curly purpleheart, and with these veneer colors. I selected the highly figured purpleheart from Ernie's wood stock myself, and requested the special veneer combination (black, turquoise, purple, rose, black) to set off this extraordinary wood.

Curly maple forearm with four long curly purpleheart points with five veneers, inset with ebony capped with four veneers in between the points. Beauty rings of pure silver, ivory, and ebony squares above and below the polished leather wrap, which is dyed to match the purpleheart. The curly maple butt sleeve has reverse points and inlays matching the forearm. Piloted ivory joint with more beauty rings at the joint and shaft collars and above the butt cap. 5/16-18 pin, 58 inches. The cue is signed “Ernie Gutierrez - Ginacue” on the forearm, and has the “G' logo engraved on the butt cap.
