Kikel Cues - DK25   (Detail)

Return to Custom Cue List

Kikel 2002 “Pink Dianthus” Ivory handle and Pink Ivorywood (DK25)
This very special ivory-handled cue was David Kikel's “top-of-the-line” creation for the 2002 International Cue Collectors Show in Ruidoso, New Mexico.
The forearm and butt sleeve are the finest quality Pink ivorywood, one of the rarest woods in the world.  Six notched ivory and ebony floating points in the forearm are echoed by matching inlays in the butt sleeve. Two delicate ivory “flower petal” inlays decorate the top and bottom of each point.  The two-piece ivory handle has six large pink ivory wood diamonds veneered in ebony and ivory, each inlaid with an ivory diamond.  Rings are black phenolic with silver bands and 24 inlays (12 ivory and 12 pink ivorywood) in each ring.  There are a total of 252 inlays in this cue. Every inlay is done by hand with a pantograph, no CNC here.
Piloted 5/16-14 ivory joint, and solid ivory butt cap engraved with the `KQ' logo. Two 13mm shafts with ivory ferrules, and custom ivory, ebony, and pink ivory wood joint protectors.  Weight : 20 oz.
