BILL SCHICK (BS6-92) 6 pts. Ebony, Bird's-eye, Ivory & Pink ivorywood
This moderately fancy cue by Bill Schick was made in 1992, but looks as though it just came out of his Shreveport shop.
The highly figured bird's-eye maple forearm with a rich, cocoa brown stain has six points of Gabon ebony. Both the long and short points are inlaid with an ivory spear in the base of each point, as well as a small ivory dot in the center. A smaller ivory spear and an ivory dot veneered with ebony are inset at the tip of each point. The ebony butt sleeve is decorated with six 5-piece stars: the three larger star designs are composed of ivory spears and diamonds with a Sterling silver center dot. The alternating smaller stars have pink ivorywood spears combined with three ivory diamonds. Six ivory dots form rings at B & C. There are a total of 78 inlays in this cue, not including the A, D & E rings.

The polished black linen wrap is topped by a band of ebony and ivory set in nickel silver rings, forming a “Bushka”-style A-ring. Piloted stainless steel joint has a 5/16-14 steel pin. Black linen phenolic joint and shaft collars (D & E) have six ivory stitch rings in each. The cue is finished with a white delrin butt cap engraved “Schick 1992” and a black rubber bumper. All-original 98% condition; one owner cue.
(2) full shafts (12.95mm and 13.15mm) with ivory ferrules. Both shafts have been chalked for test hits, but are unplayed and are “like new”. Weight: 19.5 oz. (slight variance depending on shaft). Length: 58 inches.
