BERT SCHRAGER (S6A) c. 1996 - 6 pt. Abalone, Gabon Ebony, solid Ivory joint

This is one of only 5 or 6 cues with abalone points created by Bert Schrager over his 40 years of cuemaking. The abalone shell is of exceptional quality, making a very striking cue. Bert has recently retired, so top cues of his like this one are bound to become in even more demand by collectors. Although it was made nine years ago, this cue is in 100% original “like new” condition.

This cue was made c. 1996. The Gabon ebony forearm has six large floating points of abalone, with a large abalone Tiffany diamond inlaid below each one. The ebony butt sleeve has four slender windows of abalone, as well as two ivory windows; one is engraved with the “By Schrager” signature, and the other with the name of the original owner, “Ariel La Claustra” in script. Six more abalone stars appear both above and below the windows. The joint is a solid piece of ivory with a 3/8-10 steel pin. A stitch ring of abalone set in black linen phenolic decorates the joint and shaft collars and also is set above the ivory-colored butt cap (C, D & E). Black with white speck Irish linen wrap. 100% original “like new” condition, one owner cue.
