Burt Schrager (BS-B80S) - Early 80s Bird's-eye, 3 shafts with ivory ferrules
Bert Schrager says he made this cue in the early 1980's. It is a one-owner cue, made for a collector, and is in very nice all-original condition.
Nicely figured bird's-eye maple forearm and butt sleeve, with flat-faced micarta joint, 3/8-10 stainless steel pin. Maple dash ringwork in black linen phenolic joint and shaft collars (D & E); original Cortland linen wrap.
Butt weight is 15.45 oz., length 28.5 inches. Total length is 56.75 to 56.85 inches. Cue weight is 18.95 to 19.45 oz., depending on shaft used.
Two (2) original Schrager shafts, plus a third shaft made in the late 1980's by Steve Hebert of Abear. All shafts are straight and true.
Shaft #1 (Schrager) with 12.5 mm ivory ferrule, weight 3.25 oz., 28.35 inches long. Comes with original maple protector. Very clean, light play only.
Shaft #2  (Schrager) with 12.6 mm ivory ferrule, weight 3.17 oz., 28.25 inches long. Comes with original maple protector; played.
Shaft #3  (Abear) with 12.6 mm ivory ferrule, weight 4 oz., 28.35 inches long; played.
This cue is a classic Schrager, and very representative of his work in the 70s and early 80s. It would be a great addition to the collection of anyone who appreciates vintage cues by one of the great names in cuemaking.
