Jerry Terbrock (JT10-06) - 10 pt. Amboyna, Ebony, Inlaid Bird's-eye Handle with Ivory, Silver, Red Heart
The cues by this Missouri player & craftsman just keep getting better and better. Jerry Terbrock started making cues in 1993, and has been able to build 30-40 cues per year since going full-time in 2001. He is well known in the St. Louis area, where many of the top players have chosen Terbrock cues for their playability. Rich Cunningham, winner of the 2005 BCA Grand Master Singles, is among those who have had great tournaments playing with a custom Terbrock cue. BCA 2005 Juniors Champion Justin Bergman joined the six-member U.S. Team in September's WPA Junior World Championships after winning in the `18 and Under Boys' division in the BCA Junior & Collegiate 9-Ball Championships held in June 2005. Justin, of Fairview, IL, finished 5th overall at the 2005 Worlds in Austria with his Terbrock cue.
Jerry particularly likes to create wood-handled cues with inlaid designs. This cue is one of his most elaborate and most beautiful examples. Everything white in the cue is ivory, including the joint and butt cap. The silver inlays add an eye-catching sparkle.
This ebony cue has five inlaid Amboyna burl points in the forearm and five shorter Amboyna points, framing the bird's-eye maple handle. Inlaid between the points are Amboyna burl diamonds veneered in Red Heart; five larger Amboyna burl diamonds decorate the middle of the handle, each with a delicate ebony design with a silver dot in the center. The same ebony and silver diamonds enhance the Amboyna, Red Heart, and ebony decorative rings (C, D, and E). Tying together the points are five long double-headed ivory inlaid spears. Each ebony spear contains 4 pure silver bars separated by silver dots. The flat-faced joint has a stainless steel radial pin with a 3/8-8 thread and a thick ivory collar. The ivory butt cap is marked with a black Terbrock “T” logo framed with its distinctive outline. A threaded black rubber bumper protects the ivory.
Two 12.75mm shafts, weighing 4 oz. and 3.8 oz., with ivory ferrules and Talisman layered tips. Both shafts are unplayed (test hit only by the cuemaker).
The butt weight is 16.5 oz. Overall weight is 20.3-20.5 oz. depending on shaft used. Length is 58 inches.
This is an opportunity to own a stunning cue by one of the talented “new generation” of cue makers.
