Jerry Terbrock (JT6-AE) - 2007 6 pt. Amboyna Burl in Ebony, Holly & Bloodwood, Bird's-eye Maple Handle, 150 inlays, custom Joint Protectors
Jerry Terbrock is well known in the St. Louis area, where many of the top players have chosen Terbrock cues for their playability. Rich Cunningham, winner of the 2005 BCA Grand Master Singles, is among those who have had great tournaments playing with a custom Terbrock cue. BCA 2005 Juniors Champion Justin Bergman joined the six-member U.S. Team in September's WPA Junior World Championships after winning in the `18 and Under Boys' division in the BCA Junior & Collegiate 9-Ball Championships held in June 2005. Justin, of Fairview, IL, finished 5th overall at the 2005 Worlds in Austria with his Terbrock cue. Jerry started making cues in 1993, and has been building 30 to 40 cues per year since going full-time in 2001.
Jerry particularly likes to make and play with wood-handled cues. This new one-of-a-kind cue was completed in May, 2007. It features 6 gorgeous Amboyna burl short-spliced points in an ebony forearm. There are three long points alternating with three shorter points, all highlighted by white and black veneers. Inlaid in the cocobolo butt sleeve are six Amboyna shields, each inset with a pair of holly hexagons and 6 tiny ebony dots. The flat-faced joint has a stainless steel radial pin with a 3/8-8 thread and black linen phenolic joint and shaft collars. Decorative Bloodwood ringwork inlaid with holly and ebony Tiffany diamonds and bordered by delicate black and white rings appear above the bird's-eye maple handle (A and B) and also at C, D & E. The black butt cap is marked with a white Terbrock “T” logo framed with its distinctive outline. A threaded black rubber bumper protects the butt cap.
The cue comes with a complete set of custom ebony joint protectors, with ringwork to match the cue. There are a total of 150 inlays in the cue and joint protectors.
Two 13mm shafts, with Ivorine ferrules and Talisman layered tips. Both shafts are unplayed (test hit only by the cuemaker).
The naturally weighted cue is 19.5 oz. Length is 58 inches.
This is an opportunity to own a great looking and playing cue by one of the talented “new generation” of cue makers.
