Paul Huebler (HC94-IK3) - Custom `Ivory King' 1994 6-point ivory, ebony, barbell & diamond inlays, ivory joint & joint protectors
Paul Huebler started making cues in his Linn, Missouri workshop in 1973. In addition to his fine standard edition and series cues, Huebler offered a line of one-of-a-kind and limited edition cues. These cues were engraved on the bottom of the butt cap “CUSTOM SHOP” along with the month and year.
Mr. Huebler, who is 80 years old, has not been able to make cues for a number of years, and plans to completely retire in the near future.
Ebony forearm with six ivory points (three long and three short), ebony diamond inlaid in the base of each point. Ebony butt sleeve with six maple veneered ebony windows. Three windows have an ivory barbell pierced by two red veneer inlays at each end. The alternating windows have a large ivory diamond inlay. Maple dash rings set in black linen phenolic bordered by maple rings at decorate the joint and shaft collars. Flat-faced wood-wood joint collared in ivory (custom upgrade) with 5/16-18 stainless steel pin. Ivory colored butt cap engraved “CUSTOM SHOP APRIL 1994” on bottom edge under the brown Brunswick bumper. Original label on butt cap: “HUEBLER IVORY KING 19 oz. 2/13mm.´ Black with white speck Irish linen wrap.
Level 5 cue (6 ivory points, 32 inlays).
Two shafts with ivory ferrules and Le Pro tips:
Shaft #1 13.2mm, 3-3/8 oz. (94g);
Shaft #2 13.15mm, 3/1/2 oz. (100g).
Butt: 16 oz. (454g).
Weight: 19-3/8 - 19-1/2 oz., depending on shaft used.
Full 3-piece set of solid ivory joint protectors.
New, unplayed 100% condition.
