Kikel Cues (DK07-6EB) - 2007 6-point Thuya Burl, Ebony, Pao Ferro
A new 2007 cue, handmade by David Kikel, using Old World craftsmanship. All the delicate inlays and veneers are hand-cut using a pantograph - no computers or CNC are used for Kikel Custom cues.
This striking cue features six high/low points of Thuya burl set in an African ebony forearm. Each of the rings at ABCDE is composed of 18 pieces of Pao Ferro bordered by thin white fiber rings and set into black linen phenolic. The ebony butt sleeve is embellished with six large Thuya burl inlays; three long diamonds alternating with three bow ties. The black butt cap is engraved with the “KQ” logo, protected by a black rubber push-in bumper.  The unique Kikel piloted wood-to-wood joint has a brass radial pin. Dave has been making cues with this joint for many years, and started adding the inner phenolic ring to soften the hit a bit in 2005. Dave is a fine player himself, and all of his cues are great hitting as well as beautiful. The cue is finished with a J. Petrie alligator grained embossed leather wrap.
Two matched 13mm shafts, 3-3/4 oz. each, with Titan ferrules and Sumo tips.
A complete set of black delrin protectors is included.
Weight: 18-7/8 oz. Length: 58 inches.
An elegant cue at a great price.
