South West 2008 - Serial Number 347 08 - Ebony 9-point Cocobolo cue (SW347-08)
The South West shop continues the tradition of distinctive cue making started by Jerry and Laurie Franklin over 20 years ago. Laurie Franklin operates the shop with the assistance of Jerry's nephew, Mickey Bunker, and Al Lawrence, who has worked at South West since 1988. The demand for these cues just keeps going up, based on the company's reputation for painstaking workmanship and the playability of their cues. The current order time for a South West cue is 8 years.
The typical South West cue has a 6-point high/low short spliced forearm; this cue has three more ebony points re-cut into the long points. The standard cue has slotted ring work at the joint and shaft collars and at the base of the butt sleeve. Ringwork above and below the wrap (A&B) is a premium option, and included on this cue.
Description: Cocobolo forearm with 6 high/low Gabon ebony points with a single white veneer. The three long points are each inset with a short Gabon ebony point framed in a white veneer.
